🍷 Red sangria from L'Orpailleur to try this summer!
Fancy a fruity, refreshing and local cocktail for your sunny afternoons?
Here is our homemade version of red sangria , made with classic red wine l'Orpailleur and Marquise , our rosé aperitif wine. A simple, festive and delicious recipe!
Ingredients (for about 8 glasses):
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of classic red wine l'Orpailleur
- 80 ml of Marquise de l'Orpailleur
- ½ orange, sliced
- ½ lemon, thinly sliced
- ½ Granny Smith apple, diced or sliced
- 2 tbsp raw sugar (or 30 ml simple syrup)
- 150 to 200 ml of sparkling water
- 100 to 150 ml of very cold lemonade
- Plenty of ice cubes
- (Optional) A few fresh mint leaves for garnish
Preparation :
- Place the fruit in a large pitcher. Add the sugar and mash lightly with a wooden spoon to release some juice.
- Pour in the Marquise, mix and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add the red wine, stir gently.
- Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours (or overnight for added flavor).
- Just before serving, add sparkling water and lemonade.
- Serve in tall glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish with some fruit.
Result ?
A balanced, fruity, and refreshing sangria. Perfect for aperitifs on the patio, a picnic, or a BBQ with friends.
