  • Herve Durand

    OWNER-WINEMAKER

    Discovering Quebec in 1981, he decided to establish his first vineyard outside of France there. With his agricultural, oenological, and economic training, and his experience as a winemaker at Château des Tourelles in the Costières de Nîmes region of France, he purchased the Dunham property, which would become Vignoble de l'Orpailleur.

  • Charles-Henri de Coussergues

    CO-OWNER AND WINEMAKER

    Son of a winemaker from the South of France and with a degree in viticulture and oenology, Charles-Henri has managed the Vineyard's activities since 1982. A founding member of the Association des Vignerons du Québec, he was its president from 2008 to 2016 and is a director and Vice-President of the Conseil des vins d’appellation du Québec.

  • Frank Furtado

    CO-OWNER (1985-2024)

    Frank directed the opening and closing ceremonies of the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976 and was the originator of the Montréal International Fireworks Competition (L'International des Feux Loto-Québec). Frank produced countless shows and managed the careers of several artists, including Gilles Vigneault. He passed away in 2024.

  • Pierre Rodrigue

    CO-OWNER

    An experienced and recognized manager in the fields of culture, communications and media, Pierre Rodrigue handles the contractual and legal management of L'Orpailleur. Pierre Rodrigue was Vice President Bell in Quebec. Since May 2025, he has been a strategic advisor at TACT.

  • Maude Furtado

    ADMINISTRATOR

    A dynamic successor and proud inheritor of her father Frank's legacy, Maude is the General Manager of GFA Pyro. Her responsibilities take her to all corners of the globe. This Quebec-born globetrotter has acquired enviable expertise in analyzing the pyrotechnic and viticultural markets.

  • Guilhem Durand

    ADMINISTRATOR

    Active since the creation of Vignoble l'Orpailleur, he is part of the generation that carries the vineyard forward. With a background in agriculture, oenology, and business, he manages Mas des Tourelles and Château de Quillanet in Corbières, France.

Succession

At the Vineyard, winemaker Charles-Henri de Coussergues works with two of his daughters, Sarah and Laure de Coussergues, and his son-in-law Alain Bazinet. His grandchildren are also very happy to get involved at the Vineyard, particularly with the quality control of the grape juice.
