Sustainable tourism

A more sustainable tourism, from the vineyard to your visit

At Vignoble de l’Orpailleur, our commitment to the environment extends beyond the vineyard. It also guides the way we welcome visitors, design our experiences, and use our resources.

OUR SELF-GUIDED TASTING

A tasting with a difference

Our self-guided tasting has been designed to allow you to discover five wines at your own pace while reducing the environmental footprint associated with service.

1 souvenir glass INAO glass
4 compostable cups In cornstarch
1 reusable plank Wooden

The first wine is served in a glass INAO tasting glass, which you can keep as a souvenir. The other four are served in compostable cornstarch cups. Simply pour them one by one into your glass to sample each vintage.

Why did we choose this format?

4 fewer glasses to wash per tasting

Reducing the number of glasses helps decrease the water and energy needed for washing.

A board designed to be reused

Our wooden boards are hand-washed, without chemicals.

Compostable cups

They are made from cornstarch rather than conventional plastic.

Because the land is at the heart of our business, we believe that small, repeated actions every day also have their importance.

ANOTHER WAY TO DISCOVER OUR WINES

Do you prefer to be accompanied?

For those who wish to be guided in their discovery, our guided tasting allows you to explore four wines selected by the winemaker in the company of our team.

Measuring our impact

We structure our approach around concrete and measurable objectives to track our progress and prioritize our actions.

Make better use of resources

We are looking to reduce our water and energy consumption, our GHG emissions, and our environmental footprint.

Supporting our region

We prioritize local suppliers, producers, and partners, and integrate responsible criteria into our purchasing decisions.

Improve year after year

We evaluate our practices, train our teams, and continuously identify new opportunities for improvement.

A CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT APPROACH

The Silver tier: a step, not a destination

The certification allows us to measure where we stand today, but above all to identify where we can improve. Each year, we continue our efforts, re-evaluate our priorities, and refine our practices.

An approach that gives us concrete benchmarks to continue moving forward.

OUR DAILY COMMITMENTS

Concrete actions, every day

Our approach is reflected in concrete choices in our operations, purchases, and partnerships. These actions, taken together, help reduce our impact and support our region.
