From our winter to your glass!

Sweet wine with aromas of apricot, honey, candied fruit and mango. On the palate, this complexity of flavors is supported by a refreshing acidity and a beautiful balance, with notes of imposing fruits.

  • Grape variety: Vidal
  • 9% alc./vol. / 200 ml
  • First vintage: 1997

Method of preparation

Exceptional wine made from overripe grapes from a winter harvest picked between -8°C and -12°C, which promotes the drying of the berries and a must that is both richer and more concentrated. When 100 kg of grapes normally gives 70 to 75 L of must, this volume is only 12 to 15 L for our precious ice wine.

Reviews

l'Orpailleur ice wine remains one of the most complete and harmonious on the market. An almost perfect balance between the opulence of grapes full of flavors and sugar - whose effect of successive freezing and thawing also concentrates acidity and phenols. The result is sublime! Bottled winter poetry.
- Nadia Fournier - Wine Guide 2022

This is a great Icewine... What a great product! Powerful and complex scents of candied fruit, tropical fruit, flowers and honey, which are found in the mouth with great intensity. A creamy icewine, all in balance, with fresh and long flavors.

This wine is certified IGP Quebec ice wine

Wines certified by the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) are 100% grown and produced in Quebec. So you know it's an authentically local wine.

A certification that tastes just as good... we'd be crazy not to!

The Ice Wine of Quebec "the wine of the extreme"

While most grapes around the world are picked during summer weather conditions, this grape is picked not only in the snow, but with extreme temperatures approaching -12C. What a great challenge for winegrowers from the south of France!
